About Tom J Robb

My Journey

Hello! I’m Tom J Robb, a dedicated developer and avid cinephile based in Southwater, West Sussex. With a foundation in Software Engineering, I blend my technical expertise with a deep passion for film to craft immersive experiences like FilmIQ. My mission is to create games that celebrate cinema, ignite nostalgia, and connect movie enthusiasts worldwide.

About FilmIQ

FilmIQ is a curated collection of movie-themed guessing games designed to entertain and challenge. From the daily brainteasers of FilmIQ Daily, where audio clips test your film recall, to the creative puzzle-solving of FilmIQ Poster, each game is thoughtfully developed to honor the art of filmmaking. Launched in 2025 as a solo endeavor, FilmIQ draws inspiration from classics like Wordle, reimagined for cinephiles. Whether you're a casual viewer or a trivia aficionado, there's a game tailored for you.

Every game features meticulously selected movie clips, posters, and data, ensuring a high-quality experience while adhering to fair use principles. I'm actively enhancing FilmIQ with upcoming features like "Guess The Character" and warmly welcome your feedback to shape its future.

My Vision

I believe games are a powerful way to unite people through shared interests. FilmIQ goes beyond mere guessing—it's about reliving cinematic moments, exploring new favorites, and enjoying a playful challenge. My commitment is to keep the platform free, accessible, and supported by ads (pending AdSense approval), with plans to introduce leaderboards, tutorials, and a blog featuring movie insights.

Outside of development, you'll find me immersed in a Spielberg masterpiece, debating iconic movie quotes, or sketching ideas for the next FilmIQ adventure. Thank you for joining me on this journey—I hope you love the games as much as I love creating them!
